This is little Rockin' Robbie. Not a good pic but better ones next few days - my camera playing up. He was so good for the vets today: bloods taken, teeth rasped, heart & lungs & trotting up checked. Oral "Event" as an all round pick-u-up. Bless him, didn't like his teeth done but was very brave. Exhausted after all the prodding coz vets struggled to find a vein. Just hope bloods don't show anything nasty going on inside that might account for why he hasn't put weight on. Another surprise - he's NOT a gelding! Seems to have had a poor or DIY job done on him and he seems to have a small knot of scar tissue in one testicle and real working equipment in the other! Bloods will show if he needs surgery. Can't worm him yet as my weigh tape only starts at 67kg and he's nowhere near even that first marker. But he's eating well now and has had a thunder round the grassy paddock with a kick and a fart so that's a good sign. Vets wanted to kidnap him! He's such a sweetie! He looks ok condition wise in the pic but that's just his fluffy undercoat hiding the real picture. Vets had a good look at teeth and he's somewhere between 3 and 4yrs old. No idea why he hasn't grown the thick outer coat. Vets horrified at how thin he was under the fluff.
