At the Young Masters Championship (for riders aged under 25) show at Zangersheide yesterday, Robert Whitaker was one of three riders to win a trip to the Intercontinental Future Masters event to be held in Monterrey next spring. He won the Bronze League Final (1.35m) with a Grade B mare, Vicky van de Grundeval. The travelling expenses to Mexico for horses and riders will be paid for by Zangersheide. Robert won one of the Silver League (1.40) classes with Prima Vera. In the Gold League Final (1.50), Chris Frazer (former pupil of Di Lampard) with Magic Boy and Sian Price with Rambo III did well to finish 2nd and 3rd. There are no British riders in the Open Masters classes, but of the special Invitational classes being held there, Jane Davies has so far won 3. Full details at: www.zangersheide.com

Other top riders are at Paderborn (one of the Riders Tour events) this weekend, where Richard Robinson was 2nd in a 1.40 class behind Rene Tebbel. Details at www.engarde.de

Alex Rident is the sole GB rider at the Torre de Marques CSI** and Veronique Whitaker at Haras de Jardy CSI** (see www.jump-results.com
