So nothing has gone drastically wrong, just annoyingly so. Was competing yesterday but had left my nice gloves at work so nipped to robbies for a cheap pair and some other stuff to tide me over. Bought a pair of gloves attached together, bag of hair nets, stock pin (as my other one from there fell apart and I only had the pin part left so no proof it was one from there to take it back), and a head collar and lead rope I don't need 'coz they were pretty. First annoying thing was I needed a plain black schooling whip, all the decent priced ones were stupid colours, the only black ones were either the ones with the diamante on top (which falls off after one use, made the mistake of buying one of those before) for a ridiculous price which I wasn't about to pay, or a cheap and nasty looking one with a fake plastic wood effect handle for £25...er no thanks. So didn't end up with a whip.
Then I got to the comp, detached gloves from each other and realised they were both the left hand ones. They were only cheap but you don't expect two left hands, which numpty attached them together?! Opened bag of hair nets, one developed holes within 2 mins or trying to use it, but one survived so can't really complain and stock pin lasted the comp which is more than my last one did, but is now also broken.
Very unimpressed! It's lucky my horse wears a headcollar more for show than necessity as I wouldn't like to use theirs on a horse that might pull or toss it's head or anything, chances are it'd just fall off! And rant over.
