So nothing has gone drastically wrong, just annoyingly so. Was competing yesterday but had left my nice gloves at work so nipped to robbies for a cheap pair and some other stuff to tide me over. Bought a pair of gloves attached together, bag of hair nets, stock pin (as my other one from there fell apart and I only had the pin part left so no proof it was one from there to take it back), and a head collar and lead rope I don't need 'coz they were pretty. First annoying thing was I needed a plain black schooling whip, all the decent priced ones were stupid colours, the only black ones were either the ones with the diamante on top (which falls off after one use, made the mistake of buying one of those before) for a ridiculous price which I wasn't about to pay, or a cheap and nasty looking one with a fake plastic wood effect handle for £25...er no thanks. So didn't end up with a whip.

Then I got to the comp, detached gloves from each other and realised they were both the left hand ones. They were only cheap but you don't expect two left hands, which numpty attached them together?! Opened bag of hair nets, one developed holes within 2 mins or trying to use it, but one survived so can't really complain and stock pin lasted the comp which is more than my last one did, but is now also broken.

Very unimpressed! It's lucky my horse wears a headcollar more for show than necessity as I wouldn't like to use theirs on a horse that might pull or toss it's head or anything, chances are it'd just fall off! And rant over.

I think Robinsons has severely deteriorated over the years. Ever since they rebuilt it IMO. Everything seems to be tacky or garish colours. Its years since I shopped there, I wont even go in for a browse nowadays and from the above remarks, nothing is going to persuade me in there in the near future.
Were the hairnets the really fine ones or quite substantial, I buy mine from Boots as the equine related ones never seem to fit all my hair into them

sounds more than a tad pants. Poor you.

It was just annoying as I needed them that day and nothing worked! Glad that was my only bad luck though, the rest of the day went pretty darn well :D

Diamante stuff just falls off, why anyone would pay an extra 20 quid for some sparkle for ten minutes i'll never know!

Eta. Tzarinaarabians, horse business people just milk the fact that horsey people have more money than sense, or in my case no money just an overdraft and lack of sense haha.

I have found their stuff to be rubbish too! The only things that were actually half decent and haven't fallen apart were surprisingly rugs! Me and my sister have appropriately nicknamed their stuff Requi*****e *think Requisite with a 'h' after the 's' ;) * and wont buy their own brand stuff again...

I would, I have the thick sleeping ones on account of all my hair, not sure how much they are but anything associated with horses is always an excuse to go *kerching* and ring up the price ;)

yup i bought a sponge from 99p store to clean my car a micro fibre type. (it is fab) anyway local tack shop selling exzact sames sponges for about 8 squid!!!!! Riding world is total rip off.
We must find a way of making some cash ourselves hee hee:p

Rugs also come with their own patching piece, also know as a detachable tail flap. Great thinking Robbies, saving us having to buy more of your stuff by supplying the repair set! Not such a rip off for rugs then eh :P
