Feel the need to vent, so here goes....
Couldn't ride today :( 'cos I've hurt my back, so decided to do the next best thing - shopping! :D
Drove all the way from Worcester to Cannock (about 40 miles) to go to Robinsons, having just received their new catalogue. They had nothing in from the new catalogue at all. Everything I went for they didn't have  In the end I only bought 2 things - some iodine spray and a rope halter. The halter was sealed in a bag and labelled up twice (once on the bag, once on the halter itself) as Full sized, but having got all the way back to Worcester it is WAY too small for my boy. It is never a Full size halter. He is only 15hh, and hasn't got that big a head!! His headcollar and bridle are both Full size and fit with lots of room to spare! I also tried it on a 14hh pony and it only just fit her. So, now I'm going to have to go all the way back again just because their bloomin' product isn't as described! GRRRRRRR! I know in the grand scheme of things this isn't a huge issue, but I feel lots better now I've vented my spleen! lol. :D
Rant over! :D

I got one of the requisite breastplates wit the martingale attachment ... it was meant to be a full but the breastplate was a tiny bit big and the martingale part was WAY to small and mi normal full martingale i use fits perfect!!! i thnk theres somethin up wit the sizin lol :P

i live near the one in cannock and its not that good - i went today and couldnt spend any money just nothing i wanted - more choice in my local little tack shop!!

I have been a couple of times but I am not impressed. I also find the sizing of their jods is way off, I have to try everything on and never just of the peg. I'm afraid I use my local saddlery now for everything, although now and again I will just pop up the M6 to their other store

I went to the one in cannock once and thought it was no way near as good as the one in liverpool, the liverpool one had lots of special offers it could of been that I went on a good day as I have only been the once.
But the cannock one is around 40 miles for me too so thought I would go with all my birthday money to spoil myself, and bought a salt lick !.
Would prefer now to just go to my local tack shop because if something is wrong it's not that far to take it back.

Sadly I have to agree that the Cannock store was a disappointment in terms of size, offer and range. Wont be making another special journey.

Just as an update, I phoned the store to tell them and was told to post it back to them, they would send it to their Head Office who would then issue me a cheque for a refund.
Blummin thing only cost £5, not sure it's worth the bother! Might just put it on eBay but be explicit about the size (i.e. give measurements, say its pony/cob size etc).
Anyone want a rope halter???? lol

Are they refunding your P & P in the cheque too?

Im only just the other side of Lichfield so have been to robinsons in cannock a couple of times, but the quality of the clothes is dissapointing and the range they have isnt extensive - only partially what they have in the catalogue really. On the plus side, I went the 1st time to look at the robinsons own brand driving harness...without touching it and seeing it in the flesh I would have bought it, but I would have wasted my money!lol!
The bridles in the spring/summer catalogue I got the other day are cack..Im not impressed with any of the products they have out this time!
