Robinsons! Grrrrr!

I've not had any tech problems - just a problem with their customer service.

I ordered a complete outfit (jacket, jods, boots, shirt, tie) for my exam. My order was something like £170. I paid for next day delivery as my exam was supposed to be 3 days later and I didn't want to risk my stuff not coming in time.

Anyway, the stuff didnt come. I waited til 4.30pm to ring. When I rang up customer services I was at first told that I ordered my stuff after the deadline. I had to hunt through my inbox to find the confirmation email to prove that I'd ordered at 10am (deadline is 2 or 3pm I think). I forwarded the email to customer service and was told that my stuff was on the van and would be with me shortly. I waited until 9pm before calling it a day.

Next day I phoned up and complained again. And was again told my parcel was on the van. Waited all day - nothing. Phoned up at 4.30 again. Was told that they'd tried to deliver my parcel but I wasn't in - B*llocks! I'd been in all day plus I'd sat in the front room for most of it messing about on the laptop because I was paranoid about missing it.

Day 3. Exam day. Had to get up at 5am to get to Tesco to pick up jods and shirt and had to wear my old boots  before a 2 hour drive to the exam centre.

After exam I went home. There was no delivery note so there had been no attempted delivery in my absence. Rang Robinsons. Told them to cancel their order. Was told "OK." - No apologies or anything.

Screw Robinsons. I'd been a loyal customer up until then. Their customer services lie and treat people like dirt.

I haven't bought anything from them in years TBH, don't like how the website works and got fed up with them delivering totally different things from those I had actually ordered

I really detest Robinsons! I quite often have to sort of go past their Cannock shop so pop in for things and can never get any of it, only stuff I'd have been able to get at my local tack shop and probably for less money from the latter! I made the mistake of buying a Requisite bridle a couple of years ago - never again! All the tags fell off it immediately and the leather stretched to about twice its original length. Our tack room was broken into and that was taken... bet the thieves were gutted to find they'd nicked a Robinsons bridle LOL!

They never deliver what you actually order either... I once ordered a black saddlecloth in full size. What arrived was a blue forward-cut numnah in cob size. Not even similar! When I queried it, they said "it is the closest thing we have". So why advertise things as in stock on the website?! The shop frustrates me as they seem to have very little in stock, only the cheap stuff, and the staff never have any idea what things are or when/if they might get them in.

I don't bother with them anymore, they're always the last resort!

I've only ordered from Robinsons once and didn't really have a problem with them. I prefer equestrian clearance, I had a problem with something they sent and they were really helpful

Biggest problem with robinsons is the fluffy *****e they fill their catalogue with!

Everything I have ordered from them has turned up and been of decent enough quality for the price, although I did once have a problem with being told I could exchange something and then being told I couldn't but they sorted it out to my satisfaction.

The cannock store is rubbish though, they never have anything worth having and I would only go there if i was passing and needed something. Their requisite range of hibiscrub/mane and tail conditioner etc is good value.

i placed an order late last night, all items were on sale.. on my account it still said order being processed when i rang to queary i was very happy when she told me all was in stock and all had been shipped! very nice girl did appologise and said they were having issues with thier systems.
