Well after weeks of phoning, emailing, being ignored I still have no items.
I ordered nearly 3 weeks ago to pairs of riding tights and some brown jodphur boots.

Hermes keep sending me an email that they will deliver today then never do... then said they would deliver to local shop, and still never did.
I contacted both hermes and robinsons both by email and have ignored. Phoned robinsons today saying that the order now has been cancelled and I will get a refund (at some point). Nice to not tell me this.

I have never known 1. Such bad serivce... and 2. Such useless customer service.
For the benefit of your sanity and wallet do not use Robinsons anymore!

Any recommendations where I can riding tights and paddock/jodhpur boots in brown with a zip on the front... in a rush for them now.
Am I the only one who has experienced this?

I stopped ordering from Robinson's some time ago for the same reason, that had started using Hermes who were useless and said it was delivered when it wasn't. When speaking to customer service at Robinson's they were equally useless

Not Robinsons, but my husband is having a right old fight with Hermes about a package they should have delivered over the past fortnight.
Package been with driver since 7th Aug. He's (husband) been told they have tried to deliver on several occasions but nobody home..... No idea where they are trying to deliver to, as its addressed to a business, open 6 days a week 8am till 6pm. Last attempted delivery was 10pm last Friday..... the tracking is rubbish, he cannot get through. Place of purchase wont give refund till package returned.
Husband got c/card to chargeback yesterday......

I fell out with robinsons once they became part of sports direct and using my hermes... my order was thrown over a garden gate... not my garden either!

Haven't used Robinsons for years but have seen other bad stories (items not in package etc.), would also avoid Derby House as had nightmares (yes plural, I stupidly gave them a second chance) with them in the past.

Eileen Douglas have been pretty good to deal with recently, and I've not personally had any issues with HVS but know not everybody is a fan.

I had great service from Hope Valley Saddlery - ordered some yard boots, they arrived within a week, exactly as ordered

I can second Country & Stable too - they have an eBay outlet that I've picked up some good bargains from and great service.

Thirded. I get most of my breeches from them because the outlet is so cheap :).

Equestrian Performance also have an eBay outlet that runs on bids starting at 99p (most of the time). I managed to get an Amerigo stud girth for £30! Their postage is incredibly fast.

I'd also recommend Country and Stable. I haven't bought from Robinsons in ages but did buy from Sports Direct months ago (they had very cheap Naf Mud Gard in!) and that was all great, although their returns policy isn't great so I wouldn't buy anything I wasn't sure I wanted. I'm not sure I'd buy from them at all now to be honest, the more that emerges about their practices.

Hermes service has always been a bit rubbish for us too, but the icing on the cake recently was one of their couriers helping himself to all the parcels that the Royal Mail man had delivered earlier whilst we were out, clear as day on our CCTV. I know they can't help that but as a company, they were ridiculously rude to and unco-operative with both us and the police whilst we tried to sort it out. We avoid them as much as possible now, and if a company lists that they are their courier we won't buy from them.

Our Hermes guy is lovely surprisingly, he'll always try to deliver and leave in a safe place if Im not in - he even signed for me the other day and popped the parcel in my front door so I didnt need to get off my horse (was riding in my field right beside my house)!

Its surprising why Robinsons are even still in business, let alone why on earth they are still using Hermes if they have so many complaints...

The only companies we refuse to buy from are the ones who rip us in Aberdeenshire off by charging us "Highlands & Islands" delivery rates when we're not even in the Highlands or Islands...

Difficult to know who is worse - Robinsons or Hermes. Two of the worst companies ever. I work really hard to avoid dealing with either and that is the result of bitter experiences with both.

As per usual you lot hav been far more helpful than a customer sevice department!
I have also ordered something else from ebay which was meant to be delivered by hermes... the poor ebay seller has been on the phone with them for over an hour today. No luck so far!
The hermes guy , if he does come, is rude and actually quite nasty.
Tnt, ups, dps guys and the yodel lady is lovely.

Off to find some bargains as the breeeches I have worn today now have a rather large hole in a unfortunate place!

I've just started using Naylors Equestrian and so far service is brilliant. Quick delivery, like second day after order on standard delivery, all items correct, good range of stock and reasonable prices.

Robinson’s are cr@p now they’ve been taken over by sports direct. I like rideaway, r&r and naylors. By the time you’ve paid for delivery from robbo’s its not really that much cheaper :/

Don’t know which courier delivered our hello fresh last Sunday but we found it next to the bins, gross considering it’s food but even more weird considering at least someone was in all day and noone heard a knock🤷*♀️

Robinsons are awful; very expensive with very little variety in products unless you're looking for overpriced rugs or jodhpurs (but they don't do the right sizes for anyone in my family). I wouldn't buy from them now they're owned by Sports Direct on principle though, it feels too much like condoning the despicable way they treat employees.
Hermes, however, round here, are fantastic.

it is very hit and miss with couriers depending on where you are, the Hermes and Yodel ones round here are really good and call me on my mobile and either arrange a time when I'll be in or tell me exactly which neighbour they have left it with.

It's Royal mail that have been dodgy admittedly when my regular postman was away. They claimed they had delivered something when they hadn't - I had been in all day. I complained to Royal Mail but they took months to reply and then sent the reply to the wrong address but effectively saying they delivered the item. Ebay accepted that and I lost my money!
