I got my copy of the new Robinsons catalogue last week and decided to order a body warmer and a pair of gloves. So I posted in my order around Wednesday last week. My dad gets a call today to say that neither of the items are in stock and she will cancel my order. According to my dad she implied they would not be getting them in stock. So why the hell put them in the magazine??
Anyone else had similar problems? I thought they were reliable, I'll definatly be giving them a ring tomorrow.

So why send them out with incorrecct info? It makes no sense to do so, plus it isn't just one item it's two.

They're getting worse...full stop!!

Been in the store recently??
Re-designed and now most unwelcoming!

Used to be the case.. you could go in Robinsons with one item in mind.... end up browsing and happily spend a fortune...
Nowadays I go in the store for a couple of bits... no chance... never in stock.. never will be!

Rapidly going down!
As for the website / catalogue items... had the same problem.. take the order... call back in a few days... sorry we have no stock..

Don't get me started. I emailed Robinsons to complain yesterday because I visited the Cannock store (for the first time) and was really disappointed.

Nothing in stock, tiny store and the staff had no idea when it would be in stock.

I've given up going to the store, it's not like it used to be. Horse and Rider in Sheffield give better service and often have better prices. RideAway doesn't seem to have changed.

i detest robinsons. all they seem to sell is requishite stuff which falls apart. not a big fn of new derby house either - much preferred it when it really was a house!

I used to love the Derby House catalogue as it was always a bit higher quality than some of the others and the service was excellent too. All in the past tense unfortunately.

I always found Robinsons to be really good on delivery too, but it seems that this has got worse and worse. It is very annoying when you order something from a new catalogue and find it is out of stock.

I tend to go to local tack shops now, as at least you can take it back without too much hassle if it isn't right. I also stock up with things from horse shows and events when there are sometimes some good deals on offer.

I agree re Derby House, it has gone down market. As for Roinsons, its nothing new! About 10 years ago I ordered a load and they phoned to say only half of it was in stock. And one of the things they did manage to send was not what I ordered! Never again!

Lol at 'Requishite'

, I do agree with you! Its all their own brand stuff these days, nothing else ever seems to be in stock.
