Opinions please.

Will only be our second Novice so don't want to try and kill us both!!! Both about the same distance from me, Rockingham about 20 mins closer.

Thanks :)

ETA: I can spell Ballan really!!

Mount Ballan normally Sjs on a surface. Its planned in for me as an early novice. I like the event.

I would say MB will be softer XC, based on the Rockingham team who are ex Brigstock and that other one they used to run up that way before that - can't remember it's name  Anyway, always big, bold step up type XCs so I would personally assume Rockingham will be similar until proven otherwise. IME new events usually seem to be either on the soft side or pretty strong the first year as it is hard to get it exactly right from scratch, and I know which way I would bet on Rockingham going

MB is a good grass roots event, SJ on a surface with a short course and forward distances (Ed Williams builds) nothing too intimidating XC, a perfect early Novice IMO :)
