I was there last year in the spring, although I only did the pn.
Dressage is qiute close to the lorry park with plenty of warm up and lovely flat arenas.
sj was in an indoor with a surface to warm up on (don't know if this is normal) course was up to height but well built with nice fences. Think there wern't that many clear.
xc is quite a wee walk but is quite a short course over nice bold fences. A few tricky questions on the novice course but then it was only the 3rd affiliated event i had ever been to might seem bigger and tougher to me than it actually was.
It my local track so ive been there many times over the Novice course. The dressage is next to the lorry park on pretty flat ground, SJ is quite a distance away if its outside but if the ground is bad they put it into the indoor arena which can be quite tight for a big horse. The XC is fairly decent but runs around the edges of various fields & the time can be quite tough when the going gets deep. Some of the key fences are hedges, step up step down to skinny, water complex, open ditch, double of skinnies over a ditch, white upright gates, trekhaner.
Plenty to have a go at but beware, it always takes forever for them to put the scores up & do the presentations!
Thank you everyone for you replies, it is really appreciated, especially as I have never been and its really good to know what its like.... I will be making an entry tomorrow. So, may see some of you there!!!
