Rode in new dressage saddle. Should it feel like this?

I rode in new saddle this morning and it felt like I was tilting forwards and the seat weren`t as deep as I thought it would be.

It seems to fit ok, can see daylight and it sits level but it just didn`t feel comfortable. Are they supposed to let you tilt forward to make you sit back?

you shouldn't tilt forwards and if it is uncomfortable then i wouldn't buy it

I would think a good dressage saddle would make you feel like you're sitting very 'deep' but not at all forward.....which make is it? That's why I've got my eye on one of these http://www.barnsby.com/products.asp?Range=&ProductID=&Type=1&SubType=3

Shouldn't tilt forwards. however what do you look like from the ground - when I feel crooked I'm actually straight! But if it is uncomfortable don't go with it.

I tried loads of dressage saddles, some tilted me backwards, some forwards, others were not deep enough. Took me ages to find one I liked where I knew there was a difference. The other thing I would suggest doing is working in your horses crapiest pace and seeing if there is an improvement. My canter improved ten fold in this new dressage saddle.

I tried a few saddles and the one I ended up with felt 'right' to sit in from the start. I would ask the person you have your flatwork lessons with what they think.
