Somebody I know has been breaking in a lovely young horse which every now and then, will bronc when unsure of new things, the rider considers this to be a normal part of the ‘breaking in’ process... i’m not sure that I agree..

Thoughts?

My girlie does this when it all gets too much. I think its brain overload. She is such a sweetheart in every way and not at all nasty. She does it on the lunge too its like a way of telling me to slow things down i cant cope. shes four and just backed.

my youngster did this twice, after that we sent him away and he has been fine. I think it was a mixture of things, getting scared as there was a lot going on at the yard which was scary = a change in my position = buck = me coming off = him being really scared because i came off :S
I think if it is doing it regularly i would be tempted to have a good look at its back and saddle just to check!
