silly, silly man, how on earth did he ever think he would get away with it!?

I don't even know what "hypersensitising" means though but even still...

Stupid cruel man deserves all he gets, hypersensitising is rubbing a substance on the horses legs to make the skin extra sensitive, therefore if he touches a pole, it hurts, & makes him pick his legs up next time.

eh i'd be careful about what your saying...he tested for a drug that contains a hypersensitising agent....however it has not been proven that this is what he used it for...the same stuff can be used to ease muscles similiar to deep heat. you cannot assume that he used the stuff to do up the horses legs unless you have concrete proof.

Dont understand why he would need to? He is the best show jumper by far. It is a real pleasure to watch someone jump so well and so in tune with their horse.

i would watch my mouth if i were you, that substance this whole hypersensytising thing is rubbish in a great many cases as capiscum is so common. as i understand it anyway rodrigo's groom adminstered something, without the riders knowledge, some commonly used thing i believe without the riders knowledge, but rodrigo has had to take resonsiblity as per fei rules.
if you knew anything about it or had bothered to read any of the informed comment on this forum you would know this a whole grey area and also that rodrigo;s horse y-tested for an injectable source therefore hypersensitising had nothin to do with it.

also because he admitted immediately that the horse had had this treatmebt or whatever that is why his case has been swiftly concluded unlike the other four ENTIRELY i think because substance that he was caught using IS AN INJECTABLE or similar and therefore cannot be adminstered by accident. and also therefore is not used in any type of sensitising treatment as per recent discussions.
i may well have heard/understoood all this completely wrong but one might ask why his case has been dealt with sooner than the others when his horse was tested after them.

OMG!!!!! Is this the same thing as the others? I love watching Rodrigo at Olympia....does this mean the others could get banned too?

I am interested to hear your wealth of knowledge on this, lucretia, how do you always manage to hear all the goss

I haven't made my opinion just yet, I don't know enough about the drug itself, but I am pleased that R held his hands up immediately, he is after all a top bloke

I really don't know anything about this - but if that is the case, what was a groom doing injecting a horse with a substance that the rider (or the team vet for that matter) knew nothing about? I hope he or she was equally dealt with. Such a shame for the horse's connections also who pay a fortune to get these horses to where they are only to have them labelled in this way. Poor Rodrigo also if he knew nothing about it. Out of interest do grooms have permission from the owner and rider to inject horses in general?

i heard it was some routine thing to hepl horse after long journey etc and hadnt cleared system but i really am not sure and often the grooms are well able to do such thing especially if from places where vets are not always on hand. i should think tho as said groom been with R a long time that they were just doing as they normally did without realising. team pessoa put hands off up imediately there was no debate.
as other peeps have said the man is a top jock and has never been in antrouble before and has been tested loads of times. remember it is zero tolerance so horse might have had just the tiniest trace. i am sure cheating goes on but not in the wholesale fashion the current situation suggests.
