Just wondering if not only has anyone heard of the above vet but has anyone either sent their horses to him for treatment or had them treated by him elsewhere, with his Scenar device. He has made great claims to be able to heal where vets in conventional practice have written horses off, and I am wanting to know if he is to be trusted with my precious horse and how good his form of therapy really is, as it is a long way for me to take my poor boy if it is not worth it. Sorry to be so blunt but ther are so many charlatans and con artists about these days and I really need to be sure he is cotia and a safe person to entrust my boy to, if I decide it will be worth a try. Please can anyone help. He has apparently treate Pammy Huttons horses as well as Lucinda Mc Alpine's too and I would love to know just how good he is. Thankyou in advance for any help received.

Hi also very interested for any feedback here as may be seeing him soon for both my horses. Please pm me if you would rather. Thanks

Yes am already on that fb group!! Very useful, but can also be quite depressing reading at times! Hence the reason why people are looking for alternative therapies to help give their horses the best all round care.

Well yes there was a big debate on their a few months ago. Some people who were very sceptical and others who were more open to the idea. Roger even came on to answer some questions himself, but as with all things alternative there were no concrete answers! Some people remained against the idea and some still eager to give him a go. I read a few reports of people with expereience which seemed positive, but early days. I guess only one way to find out if it works for your horse is to give it a go and see what happens. Isnt this the same for so many "alternative therapies"?

Hi,

This may or may not help!

I've had scenar therapy myself about 7 years ago to help with problems after a broken humerus. I had a bad spiral fracture which was not plated but left immobilised for 10 weeks whilst the NHS hoped it would heal on its own. It didn't, and I ended up with skin infections, lots of nerve and muscle problems and a frozen shoulder. I had an operation to insert a plate but still was left with an arm that didn't work properly.

I had months of NHS physio and did my daily exercises diligently but it was not looking good and my shoulder was going to have to be manipulated under anaesthetic. I couldn't straighten my elbow properly and couldn't use my hand or wrist properly either.

I'd heard of scenar through horse forums. Going home from my hospital appointment one week, I saw a van belonging to a local private therapist advertising scenar for humans.

Five sessions later my arm was fully functional! Also, the sessions made me feel great. Lots of endorphins released and blissful release from the constant pain I'd experienced for months.

Wow that is really interesting! Thank you for that post. Its really good to hear from a person as sadly horses cant always give us the best feedback!! Im sorry to hear what a horrible time you had but really pleased you are feeling better now. Great news and encouraging as some of us need a little miracle to help us through!
