Roger Smith

My vet has suggested I send my horse to Roger Smith at the RVC and just wondered if anyone has sent their horse to him and if so what was their experience, would you recommend? Thanks.

Would recommend, but his bedside manner wasn't my favourite... you choose where you get referred to.

My horse did her suspensory 3 years ago, I spoke to a couple of vets and they said he was the man to go to for this sort of injury, saw him several times, mare made a compete recovery (touches wood madly, just in case).

I was able to be with her and see what they found and had it explained to me every step of the way, found him completly approachable and very practical. I cannot recommend him highly enough for this sort of injury based on my experiences.

Glad your mare recovered. Thanks for the info., hope he can do the same for my boy, he is literally the last chance saloon.

For what it's worth, although I've never used him myself, my YO and several other liveries love him and wait specifically to get a slot with him as they think he's one of the best in the country
