A friend is moving to West Sussex and is going to have a look at Rogers Farm at Findon for grass livery. Does anyone know this yard and have any comments to make? What is the riding like in the area?
Can't comment on the yard specifically, but for riding she would be better off looking the other side of the A24 or north of the A280 Longfurlong. You then have unlimited access to the fabulous riding on the downs. Rogers Farm is cut off from this riding unless you cross either of these very busy fast roads. Better yards for hacking are Patching Livery, Longfurlong Farm, North Farm, Kingswood, Gallops Farm. There are a few more smaller places too.
10 years since I was there so a lot could have changed. Not a great deal of riding that side of the 24, there wasn't a school but fields were decent size (barbed wire fencing) grass livery is quite a trek from the car park but overall it was an ok yard at a cheapish price.
