olympic silver medalist Rolf-Göran Bengtsson won the 150cm class at Gothenburg Horse Show last night - his price (along with 93000 SEK) was free sanitary towels for a year for 200 young women in Kenya.

bet he was thrilled about that! as i said in the picture gallery though, Swedish legend! and i hope he wins one of the big classes as h speaks excellent english! x

Nearly all Swedes speak excellent english - we have to learn it from the age of 9 (which really makes sense as only around 10 million people in the world speak our language). So don't politely try to learn any Swedish words or phrases to converse - the Swedes will feel deprived of an opportunity to show off their English skills!

Well, actually, on a similar note, according to Malin Baryard, three top ten riders who happen to be female (Jessica Kurten, 40, Meredith Michaels, 39 and Edwina Alexander, 35) are apparently in discussion with FEI in regards to possibly freezing ranking points whilst being pregnant and having children... will be interesting to see how that pans out.

i think they have two chances of getting that through, fat being one of them! and briar was in good form but to be honest without Anky here, only the American lady is ranked in the current World Cup top twenty ( i think) so you would have expeted him to be in the lead. i will try and get some good shots of him tonight but i am rubbish at indoor pictures!

Hmmmm,only about 12 years too late for me though....
