A question really for anyone who finds their horse goes spooky on rolled oats - is there any difference with naked oats?? And any opinions on/alternatives to either of these would be great!! I'm basically looking to add a little sparkle but I find she goes very spooky on rolled oats, jumping at her own shadow and other such monsters, which she never ever normally does...

I feed soaked oats over winter to maintain condition, and have never found any difference, I buy rolled if I can't get naked oats. Have you tried soaking them for 12-24 hours?

Rolled oats have literally been rolled and still have the husk attached, so they are high in fibre and a very good energy and high fibre feed.

Naked oats have had that extra fibre husk removed, so they have less fibre to them and will be more likely to produce silly behaviour - if your horse is prone to this.

If your horse find rolled oats exciting, he will find naked oats much more so.
