roller bits

Just bought a happy mouth roller bit for my horse, but I noticed quite a gap between the middle roller & the side pieces of the mouth piece, where you can see the wire, & when I wrapped it around my own fingers I could feel it nipping, do you think it would nip the horses tongue? or has anyone had any other negative issues with one?

No not quite, it has the same amount of joints, but it has one steel core wire, not the metal linked pieces, hope I've explained it ok, will have to find a pic or take a photo.
