I posted last week about my new pony Herbie (the little bugger) Today i took him hunting. What a day it's been. Well it started yesterday when i gave him a bath and he didn't fuss to much or try to kick me
. He hated the hosepipe when he first came so that was a big improvement. But this morning he refused to go in the trailer.
It took about 45mins to get him in but we managed it in the end. We where late for the meet but managed to catch up with the hunt in a nearby field. We hunted for a couple of hours and he was a star. He didn't mind the rest of the field galloping off or people galloping past him.
He did try to kick one horse but it was so far up our ass it was sniffing my hat! Then we lost the hunt I had no idea where they where and i had no idea where we where so i desided to call it a day Herbie had been so good and he was tired. I called my boss and she told me to follow the road signs to a village where she would meet us with the trailer. Well she found us and we found a place to load. But herbie refused to go in.
We tried but he was having none of it and there was alot of traffic about so we desided i should ride him home instead while his friend had a ride in the trailer. I made him trot the whole way it must have been about 2 - 3 miles. When we got home we made him go in the trailer it only took about 10mins. Then we made him do it again this time he went in almost straight away
. Tomorrow i have to do my cleaning job but on friday we will be having loading practice
. Sorry for the rambeling post but it's been one of those days and i'm exausted.
