Evening peeps!!

Thought I start a post - just off to ride my boy in the school. Need to practise my walk and trot test - is the yards annual show in a couple of weeks and my 10 year old neice says she is going to beat me

.....obviously can't let that happen......

Lets hope the cam is sorted now - need to have a decent look at her!! Fingers crossed the midwife fiddled with the right knobs.....

I've tried the cam and it's still no working!!!

Oh well, just have to console myself with some chocolate!!

Farrier has been today, and all manicures preformed beautifully!!!

Hey all, we're at a late start tonight! I'm so tired tonight the boys just got a quick groom and a hello. Paddy's wheel is now back on so we are all good to go

Hey all, how are we?
Had a nice school on Darce tonight, and being he's scared of butterflies he didn't bat an eyelid when a forklift dropped a huge metal, weird hut thing right outside the school. I however - had heart failure instead

And pfft, technology?!?!

.....got the ned in, chipped the mud of (yes chipped!!!

) and just as I got my tack out the heavens opened and it absolutely threw it down.....ned delighted

and went back out with some hay...will have to ride in the morning - can't get beaten by sproglets....

Will send text in a bit - just had some mushroom risotto - was yummy!!

Magnum for pudding - anyone else want one while I've got the freezer open??

If it's any consolation, the sky is a vivid purple and black here, and I think it's about to throw it down at any min!!!

Of course, as an extremely bad mummy I have left them all out without any rugs!!!

Looks like I'll have to get out my chipping gear in the morning!!! Did you know mud stops rain??? Well my mares think it does!!!

Oh plain please!!!

Son and daughter rode today before the farrier came. Just as they were going to get them in, the one mare lay down in the biggest, muddiest patch you could find!!!

So, one minging pony, one very cross muttering daughter, (lasted a least two hours), and one very smug son, who wound her up repeatedly, as his horse hadn't rolled!!!

I've had a lovely day been out on a hack with HP down into our village, never ventured down there as so many scary things but actually they were so well behaved, usually like to go on quiet hacks but getting fed up doing the same old ones.
It has given me more confidence with my he/she

We go through the village - more in the winter for a quick leg stretch - and Nixon normally does a huge poo outside someones house

or does passage down the main street

......Inca just eyes up peoples gardens as a quick snack opportunity!!

How much do all you guys hack out on your own? I was thinking about it this morning and i rarely ever hack out on my tod!

I go up to the top school on my own a fair bit which is about a 5-7 minute walk up this field and down a small road etc. But mm, does it matter?

DL- I have had star for a year now and have only managed one hack out on my own so far, have been having lessons to give me more confidence and it seems to be doing good.
Suppose the more I ride the better I will be with her.
Why is it that you always think of the worst out hacking even though the things you think don't happen

I mainly hack out with others - partly because its safer and also as its more fun with some one else!!

Inca won't go out on her own - well not without a fight anyway!!

Nixon will so we tend to do the farm track or round the village for a leg stretch.

To be honest most the time there is someone else around to go out with so if I'm on my own I tend to school or I don't get my homework done as its to easy to sneak of for a hack!

I've had darcy for a year on the 13th and i've only taken him on 1.5 proper 'hacks off the farm,' but the rest have just been 20-30 minute walks. I just dont fancy napping down a busy road because of a road marking...

DL - i dont' blame you!!

So what if you don't hack alone - better safe than sorry and its far more dangerous everywhere now than it used to be. Tractors have tripled in size, roads (even country lanes) are busier - so its not the end of the world.

Have had text back - the cam has manflu but the midwife says we won't be missing anything tonight!! Have told him to give it paracetamol.....

Glass of wine anyone?? Red or white??
