Rolling on the yard...?

Whenever I hose my horse down on the yard he starts scraping the floor then bending his legs like he wants to get down and roll??

Anyone else had this with their horse ? or is mine just special / weirdo

Think yours might be a bit special lol, is the yard concrete ? had one once that would always drag people to the muck heap and roll in that, but that is soft !!

I've got one too... and had one many years ago. I just lead them to a grassy area as soon as poss, they roll, they enjoy it. Then I either put them out in the field or in the stable where they roll again, and again!!

I hosed off a friends mare this week and on the way back to the stable she stopped and got down on the concrete to roll! The look on her face once she'd got down and realised it was concrete was priceless. Needless to say I got her back up before she could actually roll.

One of mine will, whenever he feels like it. I'm sure he does it for attention though as its usually when I'm brushing the other!!
