The more of us that sign then the more chance he has so that the dressage bods actually take notice of how many people hate this way of riding, Phillipe Karl is a wonderful rider and he cares about his horses, he does nothing for the sake of competing.
Thankyou for posting the article above chestnut cob I don't remember reading this one, I have tears streaming down my face again at the cruelty involved in the name of dressage.

Hopefully with enough support Phillipe can at least get some changes. His website is off this morning for maintenance but please keep trying, it's not normally off for long.
 
Signed. I so preferred the video of Dutch Gold, the link of which was posted on the other page. And Lusitanos and Lippizanners who seem to be able to do this sort of work without being so forced. I think the key word in Phillipe Karl's report was "superficial" - the fashion in dressage now seems to be for the superficial, the flashy, extravagant and yes, circus like movements Totilas showed, rather than patient, correct classical training. Personally, although he is a nice horse, I could see Totilas quite easily in a circus ring, thrilling an unknowledgeable crowd.
