dear diary (and HHO),

this weekend has seen my decidedly odd human, bring me in, strip me naked and then proceed to brush me for half an hour, before pulling my mane out by its roots... she's seriously over-pulled it, and it now stands on end! I'll be a social outcast... then, rather than let me eat haylage in my stable and rest from Tom's incessant talking, she brushed him out on the yard for half an hour then promptly turned us out, naked.... and left us there! She didn't even make me go for a walk in the sunshine. She said something about going to see some folk in York, but I have no idea who spiers and boden are...

then today, she dragged us in from where she'd left us, and shaved off my leg warmers.. but only the front ones. then she scrubbed them to within an inch of their lives, claiming some scabby greasy thing had taken up residence! How rude. I don't carry germs around. That's Tom's job. Then, rather than shave off the back leg warmers, she forced me to go out for a stroll, in public, in the rain, with my sticky up mane and half shaved legs....

What's more she had the nerve to complain when I kept thinking of reasons to go home... she had left my stable light on, and Tom was shouting for me, and grandad did have the evil, horse-eating powerhose on the yard and I genuinely feared for Tom's life (honest), and that orange sign did leap out of the hedge at me.... Apparently performance cubes have nothing to do with amateur dramatics

so, all in all, it's been a rubbish weekend. but, worse news, it's to continue as she has 2 weeks off work and nothing to do... Farrier is coming tomorrow which means I'll get grumbled at for making him hold me up - I say, if he wants my foot (which I use to hold me up) then he has to take its place, is this not the right attitude?

yours, in hope of salvation,

Ron

Dear Ron, so very sorry that you have had a horrid weekend, humans came be truly irritating as I very well know myself. You have no idea what I have to put up with snorts. Sending you a great big slobber and kiss.

I don't know how some owners can be so cruel, Ron! I'd get world horse welfare onto yours for sure! Sit tight and everything will turn out fine in the end. (((Hugs)))
