So after a couple of strange weeks this week seems a bit more normal...
First mum took me to a friends house where we went around some cross country jumps very slowly with baby Connie. She's a very pretty girl about 4 yo, proper IDx, sensible hunter sort, but a bit young for me. Plus mum had said I had to look after her as mums OH was riding her. Tom came too and spent more time looking at her bottom than jumping
. Afterwards aunty Ro made Tom do silly circle while mum told her what to do. Then we were untacked and Connie went for a nap, but Tom and I were allowed to do show jumpies without mum or aunty Ro telling us how slow we had to go! Yippee!! and mum made the jumpies big for me and I had to show Tom how it was done.
The next week mum promised to take me to a show jumpies party, but when Tuesday came round she made me do stupid circles and stop-starts instead. Aunty Ro said mum had left something behind, I think it was her marbles or something. I hate circles.
The last few days my friend Woody's mum's human daughter has been riding me out with Aunty Ro and Tom. She's nice because she lets me dawdle along at my own pace, and she feeds me lots of Polos when Tom's not looking!
Then yesterday mum actually took me to the show jumpies party, which was really fun even if I did get told off by mum for going too fast and ignoring her! It was all going so well until some lady tried to pin a flappy orange thing to my bridle, which was clearly going to poke me, tickle my ear or eat me, so I went sideways very quickly. The lady and mum laughed at me
and said something about doing dressage. So I stopped dead and mum nearly fell off sideways.

anyway, thanks for reading. Hope your grass is plenty green enough
