Rory - joint update.

He was back in for a chek today. We started "Cartrophen" injections, apparently they retard the onset of arthritis. Basically he has one injection every week for 4 weeks and then is good to go for 6-12 months. After that he goes on to Synoquin for life with Metacam on bad days. Eventually he'll be on Metacam daily btu hopefully not for several years.

Bless him, theres plenty of life left in those joints then.

Collie has been on Metacam for a couple of weeks....they dont like the taste much so tell Rory to keep himself nice and mobile or he will end up getting it squirted down his throat too!

Poor lad, but on the bright side with the drugs he still has plenty of years left.

my dog licks the metacam out of the syringe, sees it as a treat!!!!!!

My collie is on Metacam and there is a marked effect on his mobility. Just hope it isn't harming him long term.
