My beloved Rosco was put to sleep at home, about an hour ago. Despite eating difficulties, he was very full of life, still and had been out this morning and early afternoon for his patrols. However, it was only going to get worse and I had to spare him what was ahead. I'll never know another cat like him. All the best bits of cats, with the companionship of a dog. Helped me in the garden, helped me fill hay nets, made sure I did the tomatoes just right in the greenhouse, followed me everywhere...part of me is relieved, but life will be very empty from now on and my bed will seem very cold tonight.

So sorry for your loss, he obviously had a wonderful life with you and you did very much the right thing in saving him suffering at the end of his life. ((hugs)))
