I want to hold a charity fund raising event down my yard, I have looked into buy rosette pre made but they seem too be very expensive, I have been searching the internet for pleated ribbon, and the insets with 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th with a horse head and the name of the livery yard or charity fun raiser or something along those lines, does any one know where I can get any of these? And also if anyone knows of cheap ribbon where I could buy that would be very appreicated. Thanks in advance

Could you get a rosette sponsor? (we do this at our shows, can help enormously, their name on them too if they pay for them)

How expensive are we talking? Our show gets them for about £1 each which for the hassle of sticking, glueing ordering everything seems good value?

If you buy simple rosettes, say one tier, with only the placing in the centre that will make it cheaper, also, doll them up a bit yourself. Cake decorations are good, you can get those little plastic horseshoes cheaply, place one on the tail and it makes them a bit different, or little flowers, stars, whatever.

Even if it is a charity show don't stint on rosettes, it is a goodwill thing, nice rosettes get you repeat customers next time.

Up the Entry fees a bit even by 25p, or ask for a pound donation per competitor, run a raffle, guess how many jelly beans in a jar etc, plenty of ways to get a bit more money coming in to cover costs. Getting sponsors for the rosettes is a good idea, just a fiver a class with their name in the schedule and some sort of advertisement. I know a very good rosette company that won't charge the sun and the moon if you need one.:)

Thanks for your responces, I have found a place online that will do 28 for £33, inc delivery, I was looking forward too the nitty gritty but I'm sure it would cost a lot more at retail price. I'm going to buy them want too give as much as possible too them :) he's a very nice vet and has helped us out lots ! ! Do you think £33 is cheap? Or could I get them cheaper, I did have a quote for £70 for 28 hence the reason I was going to make them my self
