Obviously feeling a bit post-happy this evening - but was thinking it was a long time since I saw or heard anything from Rosiefan on this forum. Has she left? That would be sad, was so heart-warming reading Rosie's updates. Hope all is well.

I know Rosie did PC Area eventing but just missed qualifying for Champs (sj not clear if I remember rightly). At that stage everything was progressing well but they were taking things as gently as Rosie would allow!

Bit overwhelmed by this TE as she's sort of old news really and I don't want to bang on about her too much but thanks for thinking of her and asking

.
As Neil has already said, we all pushed off for a late break down in lovely Cornwall, partly because Rosie had an enforced riding ban due to having an operation to remove a huge ovarian cyst. It was discovered during one of the many scans while she was in a coma back in March. The scar is about 6 inches across

. She and some of the others went surfing and we all walked, ate, drank and laughed a lot. I gather that after the six hour drive home she went straight down to the yard and rode Bertie for the first time in 6 weeks.
She's hoping to p2p again but has to get through a tough medical in London before they will give her back her licence. In the meantime she's working for her Grandad with his hunt horses and planning a bit of SJ/BD with Bertie and Poncz. Also getting to grips with Ned, 4 year old who's been out in the field growing up for the past couple of years.
Tomorrow she and her parents are going to a reception at Newmarket as a guest of the Injured Jockeys Fund along with other jocks who've been injured this year - maybe she'll meet Hayley Turner

- but I don't know much about it so looking forward to some feedback.
Thanks for still being interested, very much appreciated xx

Hello Rosiefan! I write to You from Prudnik Stud in Poland, where PONCZ was bred! I am really happy that he is in your, professional hands and make Rosie happy after accident. I have got some Poncz photos when he was at the racetrack
smile.gif
He was sold from our stud to Nick Turner, later to show-jumping stable -propably Whitaker stable,Poncz was ridden by some women -on 130 level, but I am not sure, correct me please if You know something more and better. If You want I can write You about Poncz pedigree-about his dam and sire

Any news about Rosie is always very welcome and keenly read so don't hold back, Rosiefan.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's quaking in my boots at the thought of competing against her next season.

Send her my best and if she could let me know where she's planning on going in 2010 so I can plan accordingly, that would be great.

How interesting is this!! Thank you so much and your English is very good so no need to apologise.I have just tried to telephone Rosie to tell her what you have said but she must be at the yard as there is no reply. Poncz is still registered in his previous owner's name at the moment and the only reason he was sent to Rosie was because his rider was/is very busy with exams at school and her Dad felt she had lost interest in riding to some extent. I don't think she was jumping 1.30 on him though but I believe Rosie has jumped him that high at home.
I don't think they knew he had raced, I certainly didn't and I think they would probably love to see photos. They have his passport of course but I expect they would be very interested in more information on his breeding.
I will send you a pm when I have spoken to Rosie.
Thank you again
Teresa

'quaking in your boots' - I don't think so. She has quite a way to go before she's back where she was. She had a stressage lesson the other day and was saying she couldn't sit at extended trot and John apparently ticked her off for using the can't word

. She's doing ok though and is back to riding 4 or 5 a day I think but still gets tired.
I keep forgetting to ask her which events at what level she's aiming for but, knowing Rosie, her plans will be pretty ambitious LOL.
