Anyone sent a horse there with mysterious lameness and had a result? My friends lovely warmblood hopefully going there for a full work up. Really hope he’s fixable for her sake. He’s only five.

They are my actual regular vet and I cannot fault them on what they've done for me. When Nickel went in, he had an unexplained lameness that we could not get to the bottom of at home, in one day we had a diagnosis and they operated the next day. He then went onto be very successful and sound (well for the problem we found). My best advice with any work up is to be very explicit in everything that the horse does, sometimes something that you think is insignificant is actually a huge clue.

They used to be my regular vet as they have a practice in Hertfordshire I've sent 2 there for a lameness work up they were very thorough found what was wrong and was really happy with them.

I only changed vets as one particular vet I totally disliked became a partner although she has set up on her own now so no longer there, I would definitely send one there again if I needed a referral I hope your friend gets some answers.

I'm very lucky in that I live 40 mins away from Rossdales in Newmarket so sent my boy there with a mystery lameness - I actually ended up getting him referred straight there after my normal vet failed to see his lameness and instead diagnosed him with an attitude problem. Rossdales have been great, a very thorough workup and then diagnosed chronic bilateral hind PSD, he had the op, more mystery lameness after the op in front so he's been back and had MRIs etc.

Although we are struggling to find out why he is still lame after the op (in the front this time), they have been really good in talking through options and supportive when I haven't been keen on their initial go-to treatment plan. He's seen 3 different vets and one surgeon there so far and I've been very impressed by all of them (especially Millie Pudney who has been absolutely fantastic!).

I hope your friend finds some answers, so frustrating when it's a guessing game!
