Anyone looking for a female roti. absolutely gorgeous. came from a family home with kids and animals of all ages. Did not get on with new puppy so was off to be PTS.

I caved and said I'd take it and its currently living in one of my stables.

So far have treid it with horses, cats, ducks, chickens etc and she's been perfect. Lovely dog but definately wants a nice indoor family home as finding it stressful living outdoors.

Have not mixed her with my dogs yet but can not see a problem.

We're in essex not far from colchester.

I'm guessing she's maybe 4 or 5yrs but will find out for definate.
 
out of interest how long did her lovely owners give her with the puppy before giving her up???? My own female rottie, aged 6, does not do babies at all! We have an 11 week old puppy at the moment and it has taken her 3 weeks to even want to get anywhere near her in a nice way. She has bitten her twice (both times my fault) as Layla got too near her food etc and she constantly growled at her for even looking in her direction for 2 weeks! However, I knew she was like this as she was like it with our other rottie when he came along..he is now 2 and they are best of friends. Jazmine is also now fine with Layla.

It makes me so angry that people just toss out the existing dog for a new puppy. They do not all like babies and need to be given time and space to adjust. It is very lucky for her that you were able to give her a home and I hope you are able to find a long term one for her. I cannot think any vet would put a dog down because she did not get on with a puppy. How awful!!

I dont know how long they have had the puppy but the rottie was getting beaten up by it. it kept bitting her.

she's a really lovely dog. loves to be cuddled and played with. walks well on a lead, good recall never goes too far away. travels well in the car and is happy to share my sandwiches

well, they should see Layla going for my 2 year old male. He is the size of a great dane and 10 times more powerful and she is a little andrex puppy. A new puppy does not mean the existing dog leaves, sorry, if anything the puppy goes if there is a real risk of serious injury. They do need time and space to get used to each other though.

Hopefully someone on here knows someone who would like her - if not you could try your local Rottweiler rescue, each breed has their own. I am sure Cala can point you in the right direction.

she sounds like a good rehoming candidate...they really should not have gotten away with the pts money.u should ask them for it to help vax and neuter her.if they have not already done so, or to pass on to a rescue.

try www.rescuehelpersunite.org.uk in private rehoming section.explain all u know about her, like u have on here, ask a mod for help if u struggle.....I do......lol
