Rottie X GSD

I used to walk this cross, but he had much more of a rottie head and body than this lad. He was a total delight but no one wanted him because of his looks :(

Max looks a real stunner :)

As with any cross, they can take one or the other of the breed types or the best or the worst of both, you never know :p both breeds would be prone to HD so I would watch out for mobility issues later on if the breeding/nutritional background was poor or unknown.
 
Well the one I walked was a lovely big soft thing, absolutely huge. They are both flock/herd guardians in origin so you might need to watch things like territory/resource guarding, 'trying it on' in terms of leadership and making sure the dog has a job. If you have a good power steering tool :p and plenty of time and energy for training and exercise.....

Right, must get my own young reprobate out again!!
 
Well this one could guard my tiny house (big garden though!) no problem! :D

Will have to see if he';s still there when I'm able to rehome :) :o
