Small welsh one is now two.
We got her when she was 10 months and her passport listed her as "dark brown with grey flecks" though the flecks were really sparse and you really had to look to find any!
Her summer coat last year also showed no signs of greying out, but come winter coat time and bingo! Now as her summer coat has finally arrived although she is still very dark from a distance, the grey is there!
So...... how long roughly will it take for me to aquire my little grey pony?
Some piccies taken today.....

You pony is charming and is the DOUBLE in colour to a filly I have, SF cross Esp.I would like to know the answer as well, but not clever enough o put a piccy on. She looks lovely, good luck.

My Conny x TB was still that dark at about 4yrs and was dapple grey still at 10. She finally went 'white' all over in her mid teens. Depends on the horse they are all so different in the rate their coats change colour.

yes, same, my mare was dark grey when I bought her in 2002, she then went more dappled gradually, photo with bay foal is 2006, black is 2007 and now she is almost white with a few dapples on her bum, she is 13!

So you probably have a while to wait although enjoy it, they are so much harder to keep clean and looking nice the whiter they get!

Enjoy it while it lasts! I have a grey - was quite dappled when I bought him as a 9yr old but now (13) just has darker points. I spend my life bathing him, I would never wish whiteness on a pony! I'm never having another grey again - my next one will be black or dark bay!
