Round hay bales

I've always fed small bales but am thinking of getting a couple of rounds to put in the field. The question is how long approximately will one last 3 ponies? Ta

A round bale is approx 8 to 10 small bales, so you need to work out how many small bales you go through feeding your ponies.

If you put a sweet round bale for them to adlib on they will wolf it down quickly if your grazing isn't through yet.

Over winter, between 12 horses [4 adults, 8 colts], one big bale of hay lasted 3 days exactly

Two round bales lasted my two 15.2's and 12.2 exactly 3 weeks with 24/7 access
They were half ton bales.
