I'm not a flat racing fan but I do occasionally watch the big races.

There was a mare running who was in foal to Frankel

Field of Gold, made that look easy.

Saw Frankie being interviewed. he decided not to ride this year as didn't feel it was right. Probably best with the tax thing hanging over him!
 
Working but with the TV on. I don't like the fashion stuff on the whole but what a lovely dress Charlotte Hawkins is wearing.
 
Poor Harry's Girl, as Jenko said, just a baby

It looks absolutely roasting there, its bad enough at home. The thought of wearing a suit and formal attire, no thank you!

Least we have Ruby today on ITV I find his analysis really interesting

Furthur is rather striking. Some bits of the steps around the parade ring don’t look very busy. Mind you the stalls are right by the stands so perhaps all headed out for that - quite unusual start location.
 
They are talking to a trainer and catering on a party in the car park at Ascot. When we went, we took a flask of tea and a Greggs. The chap parked next to us with his glass of champagne, looked across and said he'd far rather have a cup of tea! Tough, it ours.....
 
It seems that recently there have been quite a few fatal injuries on the flat, Jump racing is bad but you rarely see the horse actually injured as the cameras follow the race whereas on the flat you see the broken leg or horse on three legs and it affects me more.. I seem to be more sensitive in my old age
 
Horse a little bit excited and jockey struggling to get on commentator says it’s important with these mares to keep them going forward so they’re facing the right way when the jockey gets on just as a groom with horse turns horse away from the direction she needs to go, she stands, jockey gets on and they turn horse round and off they go…..
 
Don't like seeing what was a good horse in Continuous being sacrificed as a pace maker, wonder what his future will be after racing

Ombudsman is a gorgeous looking horse. Looked like he was going to get blocked in a few times but managed to get out and keep his run going

That was impressive and I agree, he’s a lovely looking horse.
