I'm very much hoping to get up to the RHS this year and i was wondering if any of you kind gentlefolk have any recommendations of where to stay!?

OH is definitely not into hotels and city centres (being a Farmer!) so We'd prefer to stay in a farmhouse B & B set up, or a nice self catering accomm if not too pricey (if we don't pinch the campervan off the FIL if it's available!!).

Any suggestions or experiences are most welcome!

You will need to book NOW as ASBO says.

There's a B&B right at the top of the road. Depends on how far away you want to stay.

We take the caravans and camp in the West Caravan Park from the Tuesday / Wednesday right through to the Sunday / Monday. I only live 10 minutes away but it's the highlight of my year so we stay right through!
 
Thanks for the replies... Oh Yes,..i'm on the case now as i realise how popular this show is.

My father's a scotsman and it's always been one of the shows i've wanted to attend so i'm determined to go this year,..even if i come up on my own!

OH being a farmer,..there's always SOMETHING that needs to be done,!!,..so if needs be i'll just catch a flight up and come up for the day, or possibly stay overnight and comeback the day after,..who knows!
 
My farmer friends have perfected the art of getting everything done right before the highland so they get their 4 days of freedom... unless they're showing!

If you search 'B&B's Corstorphine' - Corstorphine is the area of Edinburgh right on the outskirts and just along the road from the show. Loads of B&B's as obviously its close to the airport.
 
Oh thanks for that Jenni,...that's really helpful.

I've found flights at around £65 return so that's something! Now to encourage the OH to bear in mind i will be going to the show and if he wants to come that's great,...if not,.. he'll miss out on a fantastic weekend! :)
