Did anyone else see the accident with the RHA at the Edenbridge and Oxted show today?

As one of the guns came round a corner, the gun carriage flipped and one of the brake horses was pulled down and the rider jumped clear. The horse then got dragged along the ground until they managed to pull up! Talk about drama! Both horse and rider got up ok and the horse didn't look any the worse for wear - but the poor lad riding looked dreadful. He looked white as a sheet. I hope he was only shocked and didn;t have anything broken.

no i didnt but i have to say the handled the guns going off very well. we were competing there yesterday and we were well informed about what times they would be going off so we had plenty of time to prepare!

Both horse and rider were fine.. we got talking to one of the girls doing it whilst waiting for the terrier racing lol!
Didn't actually see the accident but it sounded horrible. Simon Crippen, the first into the AT had a fall on the flat.. horse's backend just slipped away from him. The main arena didn't handle the showers as well as the outer rings which were pretty good going.
