Thanks- will sort it all out tomorrow but just wanted an idea of what you took with you- feed, bedding etc?

Also cost but i suppose that will have changed a fair bit now.

Hi, My man went there for explorator work nearly 3 years ago, If I remember correctly didnt leave anything with him, even took head collar away. I found them very friendly and helpful, sure if you give them a ring will be happy to talk you though it all.
Cost ...oh glad I used OH`s credit card!!!!

Hope all turns out ok.

haha thanks for the tip- what about rugs? I will ring them in the morning to sort everything out- just trying i get an idea of what i need to sort out.

Mine's been there twice overnight and loads of day visits. My vet is based there and my horse is accident prone.

As others have said they will provide everything but will discuss with you what you want in terms of rugs, feed, bed etc.
The cost is about £30 per night - slightly less if you have straw, more if you have shavings.
Luckily I'm with NFU and they paid half the livery.

Be completey honest about how your horse might behave - will he get excited if they have to walk it out twice a day, does he get aggressive at feedtimes.

The equine techs usually ring you once or twice a day to give you updates as well as the vets.

They do have set visiting hours but i have found them flexible if you can't make it till later if you ask nicely.

PM if you have any more questions.

As everyone has said, basically you just take the horse, and nothing else.

My girl was in there for 5 days at the beginning of june. I basically told them her diet and handed her over..... I think I left her head collar with them and a bag of apples for her feeds. They supplied all bedding and rugs etc, and treated her like a queen. She loved it there

My horse was in for 10 days back in July, for colic. PM me if you want any more info. The bill was £3500 (with NO surgery!!). Luckily I am insured....
