What is the situation in Wales, is the show going ahead?
The showground should be OK, but what about all the riverside parking?

Anyone live near or heard anything?

I rang the showground this morning (we're meant to be taking a coachful there on Monday!

and the office said it is definitely on; no problems with them at all. From our point of view it is if we can actually get there, both ways we would normally travel are well under water which could be a slight problem don't you think?! Also rang a friend who is already in their caravan on the showground and they say it is fine but it might be a bit mucky around the gateways; only to be expected I think.
Hope we can get there cos we've already bought the tickets!

Deffo on, parents were in Builth yesterday helping friends set up a caravan, people getting out of cars in white trainers with mud upto their ankles! I don't do rain and mess so giving it a miss this year!!

Are you going? What day(s)?

Have fun Pat!

It was only going to be cancelled as they hadn't got the hay/silage off of the parking fields but they got it off last week!

One of the blokes who lives here in a cottage told me this evening he was going tomorrow and staying in the Bedford Hotel. As I used to live in Builth I wracked my brains where it was, so he told me.
The Bedford horsebox, they all sleep in the back..

The showground has some concrete roads but I bet the car parks will suffer, the hills all around will have run all their rainfall off onto the ground.
I think the show is the best for atmosphere in the country, when those cob stallions come in the noise is amazing, and the stands used to take me three days alone to get round...
Oh I wish I were going...
