Royal Windsor Horse Show 2012

Just a thread for people to share views etc on this year's show. It was my first time yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed it- we saw the Mounted Police, Pony Club Showjumping, Meet of hounds and lots more Didn't get much in the way of shopping as I don't have a horse but bought some nice fudge and a raincoat for the dog Ooh and also saw the Queen- she looked lovely! Did anyone on here compete?

ME!!!
I went on Saturday. Loved it. On the way there (we parked on the other side of Windsor and walked across) Monty Roberts, ye Monty Roberts stopped us to ask for directions. My 2 year old child who watches A LOT of Horse and Country Channel was like 'where is the black box which is usually around your head?'. I always love it there. Although sitting watching the services show jumping there were loads of bitchy comments in the crowd. Real sort of 'what does he think he is doing', 'is she really doing that?' which I thought was a bit uncalled for.

But generally loved it. And the only time I have ha the opportunity to say the toilets are to the right of the Queen!

yes went along on Saturday and to the evening pageant - thought it was great. a really good atmosphere with international acts - the pageant was amazing.

I went sunday and really enjoyed it too, a few people i knew where competing so it was nice to watch them and i ate far far too much rubbish
