So we survived!!! If you were there on Saturday you probably saw Herts Constabulary didn't have the best of luck - I even ended up on the deck!!

However, we only decided to do this 3 months ago and there is a lot of drama behind the scenes - one girl had to step up a week ago to ride and didn't even jump the horse until the warm up for the class, another also had to find a last minute replacement ride which she only sat on Thursday night before we travelled on Friday!

I think the whole team deserve massive praise for stepping up to the plate and keeping going despite the odds being against us. The parade was fabulous and we were so honoured to lead it in, being the first past the Queen was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed waving to the crowd - I wanted to go round again!!

We will be back next year with a vengeance with more practise and more back ups!!! Some photos to remind us of the day - daren't put the professional one up in case of copyright!!

Lovely pictures, all beautifully turned out and it sounds like you all had fun.
Can we please see the pic of you hitting the deck? ;)
I hope you feel fine despite the deck part of the the day!

Well done on getting a team together, I saw the posts on facebook trying to find a horse and I'm so glad you pulled it together. You all look so smart, next year I'm going to come and cheer you on :D

We were in the crowds watching on saturday, the parade was brilliant ! Well done!

We were wondering if the horses were the riders usual horses and how it worked, having never seen the competition before. It must be an absolutely fantastic experience to parade past the queen! Everyone was turned out beautifully!

No pic of me falling off I'm afraid - had one photo from jumping and luckily it was brilliant with Windsor Castle in background :) - luckily Facebook worked out for us!! Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and we're determined to come back :)

So pleased the horses behaved themselves during the parade - it was a lot for them to put up with and they coped brilliantly!!

Our horses were either our own or borrowed - some of the others were working horses so there's a real mixture

Great day, highly recommend if you're in the services, getting a team together and having a go!

We waved at you! Some hairy riding going on and the girl that won had a very unusual style shall we say but clearly did something right as she won!

Loved the parade you all looked fabulous! Must have been awesome if nerve wracking doing that in front of queeny. :)

Yay I hope I waved back lol! It was a weird course - walked really well but actually took some fairly aggressive riding. The line between 3 and 4 was a very forward 3 or very short 4 and I didn't expect my horse to stop at all, he felt like he was going to fly it!! Hence the falling off :/ never mind, we've not been put off and we'll have more time to prepare for next year!

The parade was less nerve wracking than the jumping, I think we were all so proud to be there - the only nervous bit was figuring out how we were going to salute and being the first team in we didn't have anyone in front to copy! Was a brilliant experience though, only disappointment was one of our girls from the B team that were 21st in the parade fell off as her horse exploded in the warm up waiting to go in for the parade and one of the other teams wouldn't let the others wait and let her back in to the line up so she missed getting to do it!! I was really annoyed when I found out but it was too late to do anything :(

I was very trigger happy on Saturday: I think this is one of you guys in the Parade:

You all looked amazing! And so proud.
Well done for putting on a great show - we had a fab time there. :)
