RSPCA horse being sold?

We are looking at a pony who is being sold with a passport which says it's name is RSPCA *** . Are there rescues sold on?

yes they are.
When you get a horse from the RSPCA they loan it to you for 12 months, at the end of the 12 months the ponys ownership is transferred to you and you can do as you like with it. The RSPCA will refuse to have anything further to do with the horse even if you find yourself in dire straits and want to give it back to them.

yes they dont keep in contact with them for life, much like if you adopt a pet from most places these days.

I bought a former WHW rescue horse nearly 20 years ago.

As said, once the trial period has succesfully been completed, which I remember as being 6 months rather than a year, the horse’s ownership is fully transferred to the ‘adopter’. I have fostered two young ponies from the RSPCA and I got first dibs on giving them a ‘forever’ home, but I would not have had a job for them as adults, so they went on to other forever homes.

Yes they can be they are owned rather than loaned
