If there is legislation on place then is it not a matter for the police, what would happen if RSPCA decided NOT to prosecute, it is obvious [98%] they only do so when a win is guaranteed. Please be aware that these job losses are in the headquarters of the national society which could have a MAJOR impact on prosecutions and animal welfare. Whatever your views on the society, they have a 98% success rate on prosecutions so do a lot to help animals.

This seems amazing, why should any charity base it 's HQ in the UK's most expensive city? There are plenty of local areas in need of employment and with large offices sitting empty. They may be the only ones to bring prosecutions, but I would have more sympathy if they hadn't spent £16 millionm on a new headquarters and put conference members up in the Hilton. They need to look long and hard at where the public's money is spent imho.
