Hi,

I have heard through word of mouth that the RSPCA is looking for foster homes for youngsters. Apparently you pay a foster fee and foster said youngster until it is 3-4. You them have the chance to permanantly adopt for a fee. During the fostering time the RSPCA are said to be liable for vets fees...

Now is there any truth in this? YO has room for a few spare babies to be turned away, and I'm a soft touch. I'm
not the biggest fan of the RSPCA so this seems a little too good to be true.

Anyone heard of this scheme?

i know the ilph loan for a fee but you are responsible for all expenses including shoeing and vetinary treatment, pretty sure rspca is exactly the same but could be wrong. also if they are youngsters they then go back to be assessed for riding and breaking and not sure you are guarrnteed them back again.
hope this helps a bit

Blue cross also rehome horses or there's equine rescue and rehoming (google for more info) not sure if you ever totally own any animal from a rescue so that if it went pear shaped the animal goes back to them, but worth investigating further, and good for you for wanting to do such a kind thing
