Sick and fed up of dirty feet , got a patio with a fence that i can shut and close the horrid garden off completly but the dogs won't go toilet unless they go down the garden , they think it wrong to use the patio ! , so i am thinking of using the same field mats we use at the yard for muddy gateways, anyone else tried this for dogs and did it work ? fed up of hosing dirty feet in my dressing gown before bed !:)

Good to know i'm not alone , never had this problem before but i did'nt have 2 border collies then , just the shelties who manage to come back clean , and we have'nt had this amount of rain before :(
border collies doing wall of death round the garden saturday night cue me missing most of celebrity getting soaked in my dressing gown and crocs hosing the little sods !

Its a pain! I have two big dogs and keeping the house clean is a nightmare at the moment. Like you I have a small patio but dogs need to go on the grass.

My garden is quite wet anyway so I would be interested to know if the grass mats work or any other ideas!

my sister has a huge sheet of grass protector under her lawn, works a treat apparently , you just lay it on top of your lawn and pin down with proper pegs and the grass grows back through it , stops the lawn from getting cut up , she has some spare and is letting me have it , not expensive either , i can get the link if you would like .
