Rubber mats - which way up?

so have finally gotten 2 mats for merlin to stand on at the door.

but which way up do they go? pimple side or groove side up?

i have them groove side up, but confused as to which way they go up?

Pimple's up! The groove's are for the pee to channel into

ETS the was a ryhme someone on here mention, like grooves to ground, pimple to pony or something!

I've got mine pimple side up but they are bloody hard to sweep!!
