We have just completed the onerous task of removing and cleaning our rubber mats. Has anyone had success with using adhesive, and sealant for permanently fixing the mats. We have looked into a rubber screed instead of mats but cost prohibitive at £700+ for a 12x12 stable. Thanks in anticipation.

Stormsure. 90g tube.

You'll need quite afew tubes, but it's still cheaper than £700! I used it to lay mats about 3 years ago. I'd tried a huge variety of sealants , but this worked the best, though gutter sealant is fairly good too.
I notice they also do the stormsure in tins now, but not tried those.
Each summer, I lift all the bedding, sweep and hose the mats clean, let them dry for a week, then touch up any worn looking areas- usually one tube for two 14'x 14' stables. No stink, no curling- very pleased with it!
