Rubber Matting - also in NL

Stablelite - I have used these mats since 1996. The originals are in a field shelter as I sold them when I went to one horse. My second set are in Farra's stable, originally bought for Cairo about 9 years ago. They are still like new despite years of clydesdales on them. Final set I bought this October for Stinky as I had enough of mucking out big beds.

They are not the cheapest but are very good thick and soft mats that let pee soak through. Very easy to put in, you need a good electric jigsaw and you cut and lay them like carpet tiles. No faffing with interlocks etc.

Even with the big horses, they have never moved or lifted in all the years I have had them. I have used them with shavings and chopped straw or megazorb and am now using wood pellets and a bed of about 3 - 4" deep over half the stable so no smell or pee and rugs stay fairly clean.

With my first TB who box walked, she had a pee spot only as anything more was a waste of time and it was churned into a mash. She was nice and warm and did lie down as they are designed to be a no bed system if you wish.

My last order for a 13 x 10 stable with delivery was £430 - but in my view worth the extra cost in view of how hard wearing they have proved. I won't use anything else.

Only con is that they are large and heavy so I pay a couple of teens on the yard every second year to help me take them out and pressure wash them. As I use a small bed, this is plenty enough washing. I can do them myself but it is really best with two people to move them.
