Buy a mat per stable and put them at the front to prevent them standing on concrete? In particular for a weaver.
Would there be any benefits?
Should I put two down to cover length of stable front?
Stables are deep litter bedded w/ shavings(12 x 12). Don't particularly need/want full matting bed.
And any suggestions of good matting for this sort of plan.

That's exactly what we do, one or two mats at the front. We did have our stables fully matted but find the beds stay drier without mats down. I'd just buy any reasonably priced mat for this purpose... no need to buy the most expensive

I echo what the previous poster has said but would add one thing. Don't get mats that are thinner than 17mm because they won't stand up to the wear & tear in the stable. Thinner wear badly after a relatively short time due to the horse standing on them & pivoting which rips the mat.
