Rubber matting moves

I have rubber matting that is 3" x 3". Ive found over the few months its been down, its slipped a lot, and I now have big gaps in between each mat :S

I was just wondering if theres anything I can use/do to hold it in place?

I had tile matting in my stable before which kept moving and creating gaps. So I got my OH to relay them so they were really tight (some had to be cut etc so they were slotted in tightly against the wall) and then fitted a thin line of wood across the stable floor entrance to prevent any movement and it worked a treat.
