Rubber Matting

I have an older horse whose just started with mild arthritis. She has a very large stable 20ft x10ft. I have a deep straw bed about 12ftx 10ft. However I was thinking of putting some rubber matting down on the rest of the stable so she's not standing on concrete when looking over her door etc. What are ppls thoughts on the Eva matting have been looking at the 34mm or 44mm is it worth the extra money. Our local wynnstay sells the older style matting 17mm alot cheaper but want to get the right thing as potentially will keep adding to it until her whole stable is rubber matting.
 
I have 24mm interlocking EVA to cover my horse's 12x12 box and like it a lot. Except that it didn't come with any fitting instructions. I didn't leave enough space for it to expand and it's now a little lumpy.

I use fewer shavings than I otherwise would (1 bag/week rather than 2 when he was on concrete) and I know he happily lies down when I am not there. It's easy to clean and light enough to lift to clean under if you need to.
 
I have 24mm interlocking EVA matting with a rubber top layer. It's been great matting. It's been down for 4 years and there is a bit of wear on one of the mats where I know she tends to stand and lie down. So I'll replace that one soon. But it's really easy to take up and clean, I did it for the first time at the weekend and it really wasn't that dirty underneath considering it's been 4 years! Definitely leave a decent expansion gap though. I did but have still had to re-trim twice due to lumps appearing. But they've been fab.
